Specialized Service
EMDR
Intensives
Dedicated, uninterrupted time for deeper healing — without waiting weeks or months to feel relief.
Is This Right for You?
An intensive may be a good fit if:
Rather than spreading the work across weeks or months, intensives provide dedicated time for deeper processing — often producing more rapid progress and relief.
You've been in therapy but still feel stuck in recurring patterns.
A traumatic or overwhelming experience continues to affect your daily life.
You want change but feel frozen, blocked, or unsure how to move forward.
You're tired of feeling this way and need focused time to accelerate healing.
Weekly therapy doesn't fit your schedule and you're ready for meaningful, rapid change.
Areas of Focus
EMDR Intensives can help with:
The Process
Three phases of deep healing.
Pre-Intensive Evaluation
A consultation to clarify your goals and prepare for the intensive. Together we'll identify the memories, beliefs, and experiences contributing to your distress and create a focused plan tailored to your unique needs and desired outcomes.
The EMDR Intensive Session
Sessions take place in-person or virtually and are scheduled based on your specific needs. Most of the time is spent actively processing — allowing you to address significant memories and stressors in a focused, uninterrupted way.
Post-Intensive Session
A 60-90 minute session to reflect on your experience and insights, and to create a personalized plan for continued growth and integration. This ensures your progress is grounded and sustainable.
Weekly vs. Intensive
Understanding the difference.
Traditional Weekly EMDR Therapy
Progress spread over weeks or months
Weekly therapy often includes time checking in, processing current concerns, and wrapping up — leaving only a portion of the session for focused EMDR work. While meaningful, new stressors between sessions can slow the process.
EMDR Intensive
Deeper work in less time
Dedicated, uninterrupted time for deep therapeutic processing. Rather than spreading work across months, intensives can help you achieve meaningful relief in a much shorter timeframe — with less scheduling, less childcare, less time off work.

Common Questions
Good things to know.
Can I do an intensive if I already have a primary therapist?
Yes! Intensives work well as adjunct therapy. I would ask that you sign a Release of Information so that your current therapist and I can coordinate care to best serve you.
Can I use insurance or out-of-network benefits?
If you have out-of-network benefits, most insurance companies will reimburse for the intake, 1–2 hours of EMDR processing sessions, and the follow-up session. A Superbill is provided to all clients for submission to insurance. Payment is accepted via credit card, cash, Venmo, Zelle, HSA, or FSA funds. A deposit is required to schedule.
Are intensives available virtually?
Yes — all intensive formats are available both in-person and virtually. In-person sessions are available select days and evenings in NJ, with weekends available in NJ and NYC.
